Underwriting Process

The Trowel Trades Industry Insurance Company ("Trowel Trades") is a participant-owned mutual captive insurance program providing workers' compensation coverage to qualified masonry-trowel trades contractors. The International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers ("BAC") formed Trowel Trades so that BAC signatory contractors can have a means of benefiting from the training and safe work practices of their Union employees.

ULLICO Casualty Group Inc. ("ULLICO Casualty Group") is the Program Manager for Trowel Trades, and will review each submission for Trowel Trades and will determine each applicant's qualifications, ensuring that all participants meet the program's risk management criteria.
